Stories and coloring contest, costume fashion shows and plays only a Star Kids Fair 2010 in store for children and parents have a couple of interesting activities.
What an emotional performance of eight members of the KL Children's Choir and the wonderful world of na-na, - Menara Star yesterday the official launch of the event's guest of the event was to provide a preview of one of the highlights.
But the entire choir of 27 children who won a gold diploma at the World Choir Games last month will be performing at the fair to be held at the KL Convention Centre on Nov 27 and 28.
Besides entertainment and play, the fair will serve as a one-stop centre for information on various aspects of children’s education and development.
Exhibitors from the education, art and craft, food and beverage, insurance, investment and other fields will be present to provide advice and consultation.
“The fair aims to provide a healthy and educational avenue for kids to have fun while learning and bonding with their families and other children,” said Star Publications (M) Bhd group general manager, business (print and new media) Calvin Kan.
The fair will also host the finals of the Maybank Storytelling Competition.
“We aim to instill a sense of unity among children through our book – Stories For Our Future,” said Choong Wai Hong, executive vice-president and head of Wealth and Payments Community Financial Services at Maybank, which is the main sponsor of the Star Kids Fair 2010.
The co-sponsor, Bukit Gambang Resort City, will offer a 25% discount for participants of its Family and Friends Explorace on Nov 21, a week before the fair, said its events and public relations director Nasiruddin Nasrun.
The fair will be open from 11am to 7pm and admission is free.
